Shelly is a Milwaukee Girl born and raised- graduate of St. Monica’s Grade School in Whitefish Bay, Rufus King High School, and Marquette University. Shelly has a Double Bachelor’s Degree and a minor from Marquette University in Criminology and Law Studies and Sociology with a Concentration in Law and Crime and a Minor in Gerontology. Currently, she is enrolled in Concordia University-Mequon to obtain her MBA with an added focus on Leadership and Non-Profit Management.
Shelly still resides in Milwaukee and is married to her husband Kevin and between them has 6 remarkably busy children- Max- 20, Maddie- 19, Jack- 16, Jaqwone- 16, Alijah 15 and Kevin, Jr.- 13. When Shelly is not working and not watching her children play football, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, track and a million other school and club activities, she enjoys going to yoga, shopping, reading, cooking, and baking and spending time with family. Shelly is also active with her sorority Alpha Phi, volunteers with WI based prison rights and reform and advocacy groups- such as EXPO and Prison Policy Initiative and is the Pasta Dinner Coordinator for Martin Luther High Football Team and is infamous for her Spicy Mac and Cheese.
Professionally, Shelly has been involved in Assisted Living and caring for older adults for over 20 years and enjoys getting to know her residents, families, and team members. She is a seasoned administrator who balances operations and relationships equally. Shelly is very dedicated to developing a positive culture and working together as a team to provide the best care for her residents in their home as well as her team members. Shelly also has much knowledge and experience caring for developmentally delayed and dually diagnosed older adults, giving her a full circle approach to care and problem solving with our aging population.
