Marty Schreiber Presents: My Two Elaines

You are invited to join us for a free educational presentation and book signing with Marty Schreiber—former Wisconsin governor, caregiver advocate, and author of My Two Elaines: Learning, Coping, and Surviving as an Alzheimer’s Caregiver. Marty speaks about Alzheimer’s caregiving from deeply personal experience. The love story he shared with his wife, Elaine—whom he met as a high school freshman in the 1950s—took a heartbreaking turn more than 14 years ago when Elaine was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Throughout her journey, Marty remained devotedly by her side. Once the gracious First Lady of Wisconsin, Elaine eventually required full-time care, supported by family and professionals. Elaine has since passed away, and Marty now shares their powerful story to honor her memory and to support and educate others navigating the Alzheimer’s caregiving journey.
