Team Education
At Azura, every team member participates in extensive dementia-specific training to ensure we are delivering the highest quality of care. From understanding the unique ways memory loss impacts daily life to learning compassionate communication techniques and best practices in safety and engagement, our training goes far beyond the basics. This commitment equips our team with the knowledge, empathy, and confidence to support each resident with dignity, respect, and personalized care every step of the way.

Azura's MOSAIC Training
At Azura, every single team member—regardless of their role—participates in MOSAIC Training, our signature dementia-specific education program. MOSAIC stands for Memories, Opportunities, Social, Active, Intellectual, and Creative, and reflects our philosophy of creating joyful, purpose-filled days for those we serve. This training ensures that all team members, from caregivers to culinary staff to leadership, understand how memory loss impacts daily life and how to respond with compassion, creativity, and dignity. By requiring everyone to complete MOSAIC Training, we build a unified culture of empathy and excellence, ensuring that every interaction contributes to the highest quality of life for our residents.

Certified Dementia Specialists
Azura is proud to offer our team members the opportunity to become Certified Dementia Specialists through specialized coursework and training. This nationally recognized program equips caregivers with advanced knowledge in dementia care, including best practices in communication, behavioral approaches, safety, and person-centered engagement. By completing this certification, our team members strengthen their expertise and reaffirm their commitment to providing compassionate, innovative, and high-quality support to those living with memory loss.

Challenging Behaviors Training
Through our partnership with UW-Oshkosh, Azura team members have the opportunity to take a specialized course on Challenging Behaviors in dementia care. This training provides in-depth strategies for understanding the root causes of behaviors, developing effective responses, and creating supportive environments that reduce stress for both residents and caregivers. By completing this course, our team members gain practical tools to handle difficult situations with empathy, patience, and confidence—ensuring compassionate care even in the most challenging moments.
