Jerry’s Football Dedication Dream

Jerry Bonino, 83, has acquired a well decorated list of championship titles throughout his 31-year-long career as a football coach at Two Rivers High School from 1968-1994. With his talents he led his football team to become the first team to ever win three consecutive state championship titles in 1980-1982, in addition to his remaining scattered 5 state titles. His name resides in many hall of fames dating back from 1986, most famously in the Wisconsin Football Coaches Hall of Fame. The Two Rivers School District plans to name their high school football field in Bonino’s honor for his legendary contributions as a teacher, coach, and role model to the community of Two Rivers. A ceremony will be held at Two Rivers High School on Friday, August 19th where they will personally recognize Jerry. Jerry will travel from his home at Azura Memory Care of Sheboygan to attend the event and accept the award accompanied by his family and loved ones. It will begin with a reception held at 5:30 followed by the dedication ceremony at half time of the Raider’s football game. Donations are being collected for the field on the Two Rivers School District website as well as in person at the event.
