Kay is a resident at Azura Memory Care of Monroe. Prior to her disease, Kay and her husband traveled all over the world. Their only regret is that they never made it to Hawaii. Kay always wanted to go to Hawaii but before her husband Marvin was able to take her there, she was unfortunately diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Marvin states it’s one of his biggest regrets and now due to the disease, she wouldn’t be able to travel that far. However, thanks to Azura Living and Second Wind Dreams, on Saturday, November 27th, we took them to the closest thing to Hawaii – The Tiki Terrace! The Tiki Terrace is the number one Hawaiian Restaurant and Tiki bar in Chicago featuring Live entertainment, Hula dancers, and tropical drinks. Kay & Marvin enjoyed all the sights, sounds, tastes, and entertainment of the South Pacific, without having to book a flight. Like the luaus in Hawaii, Kay and Marvin enjoyed a variety of unique island dishes in a tropical atmosphere reminiscent of beautiful Hawaii all while watching an action packed luau show!
