Jessica is the nurse for our Azura of Kenosha memory care home!
“I grew up in Racine County and knew I was always going to join the military. Shortly after high school, I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and became a member of the USMC military police. While deployed in Japan, with the potential for deployment to an active conflict, the military police personnel were trained for first responder/trauma response. It was then that I realized my true calling was to be in the medical field. Once discharged from the Marine Corps, I looked into local nursing programs and enrolled at Gateway Technical College. While going through the program I received my CNA certificate and worked in the hospital system with experience in ICU, neuro and cardiac. I became a telemetry technician and tested out to receive my LPN to get a more in-depth hands-on experience as a nurse. The aging community pulls at my heart strings, and it is my goal to provide the best quality care that I can for my residents. I came to Azura initially as a contracted nurse and quickly realized that this community and company strives for the same quality of care of its residents as I do. I have never felt such a team mentality as I do here at Azura, and it is such a breath of fresh air to be a part of that team. My long-term goal is to continue my education for my RN while working for Azura in Kenosha.”
