Martin is one of our exceptional nurses at Azura of Fox Point. He graduated from UW Eau Claire with a Kinesiology degree, and earned his Associates Nursing degree from Southwest Wisconsin Technical College.
Martin shares, “I’ve been in the healthcare field since 2017 and have been operating in the Milwaukee area as a nurse since 2020. I’ve spent some time in hospitals but found that I didn’t have the time to be as kind and personable to my patients as I’d like. I made the move to long term care and haven’t thought of changing it since.
Until now I have been working as an agency travel nurse, in skilled nursing and assisted living. I’ve worked for many facilities in the area, but nowhere has come close to Azura in regard to how involved staff are with the residents. I immediately thought that this is the place I’d like to be and was lucky enough to be offered a position. Azura is a great place and I’m happy to try to make it even better!
I’ve lived in the area on and off for a couple of years now but made it a permanent stay in June 2022. In my spare time I enjoy working out, eating good food, traveling, and spending time with my girlfriend and our pets. The time is mostly used on renovating our house. It was built in the early 1890s; Mayor Daniel Hoan used to live in it!”
